Test Automation Engineer

Within our Belgrade office, we are looking for a talented Test Automation Engineer to join our R&D department.
About IXON
All over the world, machines are producing goods and carrying out processes, such as packaging your favourite chocolate. These machines need maintenance or repair and contain a lot of interesting data (like: how many bars have been produced). With our IXON Cloud platform, we give machine builders the ability to access their machines and data from anywhere, at any time. All with one goal: more efficient production with minimal impact on the world.
What will you be working on?
As a Test Automation Engineer you will contribute to the ongoing efforts to further automate and improve the testing activities within an Agile team. Based on a test strategy, you contribute to the design and execution of test cases. Besides manual testing, you ensure that the framework for test automation is maintained and improved. Thanks to your automated tests, the developers receive rapid feedback on their completed work and you help to provide quality to our customers. In addition your role will consist of the following tasks:

Together with developers and other testers you work on a high quality product;

Thinking along on edge cases, so that the customer does not experience any problems;

Writing end-2-end tests where possible and performing manual tests where it is not (yet) possible;

Providing developers with clear information, so that they quickly can solve the bugs you find;

Checking whether a bug is actually fixed, when a developer has tackled it;

Help prioritise bugs, so that those with the greatest impact are tackled first;

Keeping track of regression tests, so that old bugs are not resurrected;

You work in structured development methods, in a disciplined manner with attention to quality.
Job requirements
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who is passionate about software testing, dedicated to quality and pragmatic about problem solving. However, it is not a problem if you don’t have much work experience, as long as you have the dedication to learn, to master new technologies and to continuously develop yourself.

Experience with Python and/or Javascript;

Living within driving distance of Belgrade.
